  • Private King or Queen bed room, with private bathroom in suite or in hall.
  • Private Queen sleeper-bed room, with private bathroom in suite or in hall.

  • Private 2 Twin bed room, with private bathroom in suite or in hall.
  • 1 Queen bed room, with shared bathroom in hall or between bedrooms.

    SPECIAL NOTE: Organizer reserves right to reserve and reassign this private single room for a "special needs" person at any time. Your reservation will be treated as a "looking to share" basis, and you may be assigned to a "Shared" room at this rate, unless organizer has confirmed that you are getting this single private room due to special needs.
  • 2 Double bed room, with private bathroom in suite or in hall - WITH 1 OR 2 BEDS SHARED FOR 3-4 PERSONS IN ROOM.

    Pricing is shown for 3 persons in room. If you register and pay for 4 persons, the organizer will arrange for a $100 rebate to the payer of the room reservation.
  • 2 Double bed & 1 Twin sleeper bed room, with private bathroom in suite or in hall - WITH 0, 1 or 2 BEDS SHARED FOR 3-5 PERSONS IN ROOM.

    Pricing is shown for 3 persons in room. If you register and pay for 4 or 5 persons, the organizer will arrange for a $100 or $250 rebate respectively to the payer of the room reservation.
  • I will share a room and a bathroom with 1 or more other persons (same gender), with each of us having our own bed.

    If organizer is able to share the room between 3 or more people, organizer will rebate to you any difference for which you are eligible (none is guaranteed).
  • I have arranged my own accommodations elsewhere, but will participate in all of the other activities and responsibilities.

NOTE: Registrations are accepted to enter the queue for room assignment ONLY AFTER you have entered ALL requested data for ALL persons (must be SCTC members) required to reserve your chosen room type, AND full payment has been received and cleared by SCTC for all of them. Rooms will not be held pending payment. All payments are strongly requested to be completed online.

NOTE:  The trip is nearly sold out in the housing units that we have reserved.  You can see the available room types remaining below.  If you want to join the trip but want a different type of bedroom than those remaining, you may contact AwayTrip@SanCarlosTennis.com to add your name and room type desired to the standby list.  If we have enough standby demand, we will try to add another housing unit to accommodate the additional interest.  We do have the court capacity available to continue adding participants - so we hope you will try to join us!

Our annual SCTC Away Trip is the pinnacle event of the SCTC tennis year - and for 2013 it is bigger and better than ever before!  4 days & 3 nights of tennis and social events at the stunning oceanside Pajaro Dunes Resort, including a fun 2-day tourney with delicious breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks included both days!  What more could you want!

No Partner Required!  We have lots of single folks as well as couples that join us every year.  Many make sure they never miss it - and we have capacity for more than ever with 12 courts reserved!  Participants are encouraged to organize their own roommates for best pricing at sign up.  Sign up is available for single participants "looking to share" a room, and you will get a rebate for the best room sharing price basis to which the organizer is able to assign you.

Members & Guests Welcome!  The SCTC Away Trip will be advertised to SCTC members only for signup until 8/1, and will advertised to other clubs and friends of SCTC thereafter.  Non-Members:  The Big Secret is that guests pay only $30 more than members, which is the mid-year SCTC membership fee, allowing you to sign up for this event as a member.  Go to Member Signup & Renewal to become a member now (for the remainder of 2013), and come back here to sign up for the Away Trip before the rooms are gone!

Amazingly, the total cost per person is only $320/person for a private King/Queen bedroom with private bathroom, for 2 people sharing.  We also encourage friends to save a lot of $$ when they are comfortable sharing rooms and beds, getting as low as $210/person for 5 people sharing 1 room with a shared bathroom.

SCTC is deservedly famous for our wonderfully diverse agenda of social and competitive tennis events, and for each of us going the extra mile to ensure that every player at every level is welcome and comfortable.  The annual SCTC Away Trip is where we shine the brightest, and create the biggest and best memories!

2013 AWAY TRIP FEATURES:

-  For the first time we will stay in beautiful homes at the south end of Pajaro Dunes, plus 3 of our favorite multi-unit condos, and 12 tennis courts available for our use! 

-  Courts are available for drop-in play on your own when you arrive anytime on Thursday.  Room check-in starts at 4 PM Thursday.  Join casual meet & greet happy hour (BYOB & snacks), as people drift in until 10 PM.

-  Fri/Sat White Elephant Tennis Tourney, designed for social and competitive play, and the memorable (and competitive!) small gift exchange!   Water and tennis balls provided. 

2 days of pastries & fruit breakfast, lunch and dinner (main courses) provided on Friday and Saturday.  Coffee with breakfast, soft drinks, beer, wine provided with lunch and dinner.

 -  Private party facility with decks under the stars for relaxed Friday night dinner, games, music and dancing!

-  Even more relaxed Saturday night dinner (reliving videos of all the tennis) on more decks under the stars, and maybe even the bonus of a hot tub available!

Bonfire after-party on the beach one night, weather/wind permitting, with memorable singing, stories, music, jokes, and your variety act?!

-  Wonderful camaraderie and memory-making with friends new and old!

Room check-out is 12 Noon Sunday.  Courts available for drop-in play on your own on Sunday until you depart.  Join casual side trip on your own to famous Phil's Fish Market for lunch before heading home!

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

More food, drinks, courts and nicer facilities are covered in the cost than ever before, but we still treasure the personal involvement and contributions that make this event fabulous, fun and memorable for each other! 

Every participant agrees to a few simple responsibilities when they sign up:

1.  Bring an assigned food item (pastry, fruit, appetizer, dessert) to serve 8-12 people

2.  Perform assigned duties responsibly and on time (set up, cleanup, getting coffee/ice, managing drinks and coolers, pickup or manage catering for a meal, moving tables and chairs, managing bonfire, providing boombox and music for courts or evening, managing games, providing truck/van transport, etc.)

3.  Full payment is required to secure your reservation.  You will be added to the queue for room assignment in order, only after your payment has been cleared by SCTC.  Also note that this event is for Adults Only (no participants under 21 years of age allowed).  Every participant attending must sign a FULL RELEASE OF LIABILITY for SCTC and the Away Trip organizers.

4.  Your biggest responsibility:  Have a blast, and be an ambassador of fun for everyone else!

CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS POLICY:


If your desired room type is no longer available at the time that you have paid for it to request confirmation of a reservation, you will be contacted by the Away Trip organizers and offered an alternative room type that is available.  This could be a lesser or shared room (if the trip is nearly filled) or could be a better room, according to availability.  If you accept the alternative room type that is available and offered, then any additional cost must be received from you within 24 hours to secure the changed reservation.  If a partial refund is due to you, you will be reimbursed for the overpayment amount at or before the event.  If you do not accept the alternative room type available at the time that it is offered, your entire payment will be refunded. 

If you need to cancel your reservation for any reason, cancellations received and acknowledged by the Away Trip Director in writing are eligible for refunds as follows:

-  By 8/19/2013 full refund, less $50 per person cancelling.

-  By 9/13/2013 refund of 50% of full reservation amount.

-  By 9/20/2013 refund of 25% of full reservation amount.

-  After 9/20/2013 no refunds are available.

Transfer of the registration to other eligible Members will be allowed up to 9/20/2013 without penalty.  Any transfer to eligible members after 9/20/2013 will require payment of a $50 additional fee per person.

FULL RELEASE: Submission of your registration for this event releases San Carlos Tennis Club, its officers, directors, members and the like from claims relating to any injury or damage to person or property, arising out of or incidental to the registrant's presence and or participation at this San Carlos Tennis Club sponsored event.
