The Away Trip includes:


This was the schedule for last year, and 2011 will be similar again - once again organized by Ana & Tom Akin!

  • 3 nights lodging
  • Check-in Thursday, Sept 29th at 4pm
  • Tennis (social play on Thursday from Noon, tournament on Friday and Saturday, social play on Sunday)
  • Mexican Fiesta Party on Thursday night (BYOB & goodies to share)
  • Lunch on Friday
  • Pot Luck Dinner (lasagna main provided) on Friday night
  • Breakfast on Saturday
  • Lunch on Saturday
  • White elephant gift exchange on Saturday
  • BBQ Dinner on Saturday night
  • Beach bonfire one night (wind permitting)
  • Check-out Sunday, Oct 2 at 12pm

All rooms are in either a 2 or 3 bedroom / 2 bath condo - easy walk to ocean and tennis courts.

  • Master bedroom (king or queen) with bath = $500  
  • Bedroom with a queen or king bed = $480
  • Bedroom with a queen bed and 2 twin beds = $480 + *
  • Bedroom with a queen and a twin bed = $480 + *
  • Bedroom with a double and a twin bed = $460 + *
  • Bedroom with a queen and 2 bunk beds = $480 + *
  • Bedroom with two twin beds = $460

*Note:  For any room with more than one bed, the fee is $230 for each extra single twin or bunk bed occupied.

Non-members must add an additional $35.00 per person, above the rates shown for members.

Full payment is required in order to secure your reservation - no exceptions!  Sign-up is open exclusively for SCTC Members, until July 1st, then open to all-comers until July 29th, when we will lock-in the number of rooms reserved.  Non-members must add an additional $35.00 per person, above the rates shown for members.

Upon confirmation of room/bed availability, Ana will provide instructons to you on how to remit payment.  Also, a release form with FULL RELEASE signatures from all attendees needs to be provided to the event orgainzers:

Sign ups must be complete and full payment received by 7/29!

Cancellations after 7/29 and before 9/1 are subject to a $25/person cancellation fee. Cancellations from 9/1 and before 9/20 are subject to a 50% cancellation fee. Cancellations from 9/21 onwards are subject to 100% cancellation fee. If the entire Away Trip is canceled before 8/1 due to inadequate registrations, all monies received will be returned.

You must be 21 or over to participate in this event.

FULL RELEASE: Submission of your registration for this event releases San Carlos Tennis Club, its officers, directors, members and the like from claims relating to any injury or damage to person or property, arising out of or incidental to the registrant's presence and or participation at this San Carlos Tennis Club sponsored event.

As we are an all volunteer organization, we will need you to help out in one of the following areas:

       Reservations
       Dinner Saturday night
       Dinner Friday night
       Lunch Fri or Sat
       Tournament organization
       Beach party (music & games)
       Gift exchange

Please let Ana know which area you would like to help with, and she will utilize your volunteered positions first when giving out everyone's assignment!
